Jim grew up on a farm south of Wakarusa. He is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. Jim returned to this area in 1995 after 21 years as a missionary in Brazil. Soon after that, while continuing in church ministry, Jim began to learn sewing machine service and repair with a former technician at Jeanette's Fabric Boutique. He has received basic technical training and certification from Baby Lock and follow up training on specific Baby Lock machines. He has also done training and certification with Janome on specific machines.
Jim shared technician responsibilities for Jeanette's Fabric Boutique and serviced approximately half of the machines brought in from 1996 until 2012. Since then he has shared the service responsibilities here at Calico Point.
Jim's goal as a sewing machine technician is to achieve excellence in service and help you to have an enjoyable sewing experience.
